Natural Resource Management Assistant

This Natural Resource Management Assistant is an AmeriCorps position. In a wildland fire emergency, national park staff need to be able to rapidly tell responders the location, importance, and protection measures for the park's most critical treasures. This project will directly support the preparedness of parks for responding to emerging wildland fires and other hazardous events while safeguarding the historical, natural, and cultural resources that are central to the NPS mission.

Regional Liaison (2 openings)

We seek (2) engaging connectors and partnership builders to join the Western Fire and Forest Resilience Collaborative (WFFRC) as liaisons in Colorado and the Rocky Mountain region. WFFRC is engaging 10 science teams to create and implement a research program that will ensure the science of fire ecology and forest resilience can support effective solutions for the fire crisis in the western US.

Program Coordinator

The Coordinator will develop, manage, and deliver programs and projects of the Southern Rockies Fire Science Network. The position will work to transfer fire science knowledge using printed and electronic resources, live events, and other networks to share information and deliver actionable science knowledge tailored to key audience. The coordinator will also work to help identify new fire science needs pertinent to the Southern Rockies geography for the JFSP.
