As the NCFC Coordinator, you’ll play a pivotal role in facilitating partnerships, guiding strategic planning for wildfire mitigation, supporting fundraising efforts, and helping shape the future of fire-adapted landscapes in Northern Colorado. You can envision this position like an executive director of a nonprofit, with the Steering Committee being the equivalent to a board of directors, and the other committees (Community Engagement and Outreach, Strategic Planning and Operations, and Investment), as the programs of work that a nonprofit might have. The Coordinator will ensure the below items are executed, either as a delegated task, or as their own work, depending on the item.

Create agendas, facilitate meetings and occasional field trips, with NCFC committees and partners.
Track and update work plans for each committee, periodically share progress with the NCFC, and facilitate communication and coordination across committees.
Provide administrative support and fiscal management of the NCFC towards the development of long-term, sustainable funding sources. Lead development and maintenance of fiscal policies and budgets:
Lead or support fundraising efforts, including fundraising and grant writing with the Investment Committee and NCFC fiscal sponsor, the National Forest Foundation
Lead the visioning, co-development, sharing, and maintenance of strategic organizational documents.
Build trust and shared motivation among NCFC partners:
Maintain engagement with participants and other sub-landscape collaboratives, recruit and onboard new partners as capacity needs or opportunities arise.
Obtain commitments around shared goals from participants and hold partners accountable to their commitments.
Build widespread interest and support for the NCFC externally:
Coordinate accomplishments tracking across committees, assemble information into reports or dashboards, and communicate accomplishments to external audiences, including decision-makers and potential funders
Lead government relations, in regard to the collaborative as a whole, and engage with elected officials to increase visibility and represent the interests of the NCFC. Each partner within the collaborative will additionally follow their own policies and procedures.
Provide support for planning and facilitation for U.S. Forest Service and other partners to achieve NCFC outcomes.
Supervise NCFC Communications Manager.
