Spatial Analyst Postdoctoral Scholar

The New Mexico Forest and Watershed Restoration Institute (NMFWRI) is seeking a full-time (100% FTE) postdoctoral scholar with expertise in fire modeling and remotely sensed data to support innovative research. This project will improve our understanding of the conditions under which fuel treatments effect wildfire behavior and to evaluate long term post fire impacts within the Hermit’s Peak Calf Canyon Fire burn scar.

Wildfire Risk Specialist

The California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL FIRE) - Fire and Resource Assessment Program (FRAP) is currently looking to fill the position of Wildfire Risk Specialist (Senior Environmental Scientist – Specialist). The primary role of the job is to lead and coordinate projects and activities related to the evaluation of wildfire hazard and risk across California, and to support the environmental assessment and scientific functions of FRAP.

NC Mountains Forest Recovery Director

The Nature Conservancy seeks a North Carolina Mountains Forest Recovery Director who will be focused on delivering on a forest restoration scope of work under a 10-year Disaster Recovery award with the US Forest Service.  They will build and lead a team of ten professional fire and forest restoration specialists and thirteen seasonal crew members.
