Research Associate I, Fire Behavior Assessment Team

Position is a collaboration between the University of Idaho, the USDA Forest Service Northern Research Station, and National Forest System Region 5. It coordinates and leads the Fire Behavior Assessment Team (FBAT), which supports National Forest and incident command teams with pre-, active-, and post-fire monitoring on wildfires.

Regional Liaison (2 openings)

We seek (2) engaging connectors and partnership builders to join the Western Fire and Forest Resilience Collaborative (WFFRC) as liaisons in Colorado and the Rocky Mountain region. WFFRC is engaging 10 science teams to create and implement a research program that will ensure the science of fire ecology and forest resilience can support effective solutions for the fire crisis in the western US.
