The course addresses the roles and responsibilities appropriate to a Task Force/Strike Team Leader operating in concert with a local or state-level AH IMT.
This course provides the knowledge and skills necessary to analyze, plan, and implement strategies to manage smoke from prescribed fire and wildland fire. The curriculum emphasizes smoke management techniques, air quality regulations, health and safety issues, and tools for predicting, modeling, and mitigating smoke impacts on the public and transportation corridors.
