2026-2027 National SAFE officer nominations
Nominations for National SAFE Officer positions are NOW OPEN and will close Friday, April 17th. There are four officer positions available: President, Vice President, Training/Education Officer, and Secretary/Treasurer. Find the descriptions of these positions in the SAFE Constitution. Serving as a national SAFE officer is an opportunity to help SAFE chapters connect with one another, plan student events, gain leadership skills, network with others in the wildland fire community, and help steer the direction of SAFE and AFE.
Terms for these positions will begin May 1st and last one year, with most activity occurring during the Fall 2026 and Spring 2027 semesters. The time commitment of being a National SAFE Officer is about 2-3 hours a month.
