Description:
The Mid Klamath Watershed Council is seeking a Project Coordinator to join our Community & Stewardship Program to plan and implement watershed learning, restoration, and monitoring projects with local youth and community members. Primary responsibilities include:
Planning, coordinating, implementing, supporting, and evaluating watershed restoration, monitoring, and learning field trips with local students.
Developing and teaching watershed curriculum in local schools.
Planning, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating summer youth programs, including the overnight Klamath-Siskiyou Outdoor School and day camps
Planning, coordinating, implementing and evaluating the summer youth intern program.
Coordinating with local and regional partner organizations, Tribes, and schools.
Managing and maintaining youth programs supplies.
Assisting with grant writing, reporting, and deliverable tracking.
Position is non-supervisory. On-the-job training is provided for this position.
Position is Part Time*: 20-30 hours per week, 3-4 days per week.
*While not guaranteed, there may be opportunities to work in other MKWC programs to increase weekly hours if desired. There is more concentrated work during the spring and summer. During specific slow parts of the year (i.e. August, December-January), there may be options to reduce work hours, work within other MKWC programs, or be furloughed.
Required Qualifications:
Experience working with youth in a school and/or outdoor education setting and is enthusiastic about working with youth. Ability to maintain professional boundaries, safety, and appropriate conduct at all times.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record

Preferred Qualifications:
Natural resource monitoring and restoration experience (fisheries, botany, wildlife, forestry, fire, etc.)
Ability to work as part of a team, lead a team, and/or work independently
Ability to organize and manage groups of youth
Experience working with Indigenous communities
Works well with people from diverse backgrounds and perspectives
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Organized, detail-oriented, and flexible
Proficient computer skills (Google and Microsoft applications)
