The Burn Crew Member (BCM) participates in wild land fire operations which include ignition, control, mop-up, suppression, monitoring, and other tasks as assigned.
Northwoods Senior Burn Crew Member
The Senior Burn Crew Member (SBCM) works in a team environment and participates in prescribed fire operations overseeing staff and volunteers during fire related activities which include ignition, control, mop-up, suppression, monitoring. SBCM may conduct other land management activities as assigned by a Burn Crew Manager or other command position.

The Wisconsin Prescribed Fire Council (WPFC) is seeking a dynamic Executive Director to build upon their successes and ultimately increase the state’s capacity for safe and effective prescribed fire. They will accomplish this advancement by expanding our programs and fundraising efforts to facilitate the growth needed in an already active and productive, largely volunteer organization.
