Description: Provides students with the knowledge and skills necessary to recognize and communicate the relationships between basic fire regimes and fire effects, the effects of fire treatments on fire effects, and to manipulate fire treatments to achieve desired fire effects.
Cost: $300
Hours: 40 hours (28 hours self-paced / 6 hours live/online, 6 hours for task sheet)

The mission of the Student of Fire Initiative is twofold: deliver high quality training for wildland fire professionals and evaluate the training impact to ensure learning leads to meaningful change. We are a team of fire practitioners, researchers, and educators who are passionate about wildland fire and professional development. We support fire professionals through practical, research informed and field-tested training. We welcome opportunities for collaboration with individuals, agencies, and organizations, both within the United States and abroad, to provide high quality training to those interested in wildland fire.
