TRAVEL, RESEARCH, AND EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCE (TREE) GRANTS
TREE grants are designed to help graduate students in the U.S. present at conferences, symposia, workshops, or other events related to wildland fire science and management. With virtual events continuing and in-person events starting again, now is the perfect time to take advantage of these professional development opportunities and share your research with others.
Funding is available to help students attend in-person or virtual
Conferences, Workshops, and Symposia: In-person or virtual events that include content related to wildland fire science and management
Field Tours: Field trips or tours at research locations, burn sites, etc.
Trainings: In-person or online trainings that build skills in wildland fire science and management, science communications, or leadership
Meetings: In-person meetings with small groups to share and discuss research
Grants typically range from $250 to $700 and are paid as reimbursements for submitted receipts. Click here for more info and to apply.
