The Association of Fire Ecology (AFE) and Pau Costa Foundation (PCF) are partnering with Regione Toscana and University of Florence to host a hybrid conference in Florence, Italy. This event will feature in-person and online options for diverse stakeholders involved in wildfire management.
The conference will focus on connecting fire ecology research and management across geographic and disciplinary boundaries. It will cover a wide range of topics to address the main challenges of wildfires in the era of climate change with the perspective of fire ecology.
We aim to provide a forum for managers, scientists, educators, policymakers, and other stakeholders to share and discuss the key wildland fire issues and topics.
All plenary sessions will be interpreted into multiple languages, including at least Italian, Spanish, and English. Other sessions may include live interpretation or automated translation through captioning; more information will be shared on this soon.
