The Nature Conservancy is hiring a Fire and Stewardship Coordinator to work in Lebanon, Missouri.
The Fire and Stewardship Coordinator (FSC) will work with conservation partners and private landowners to manage high quality habitats utilizing a variety of land management practices. The FSC will create and maintain positive working relationships within the conservation community as well as members of the public. This is a grant-funded, two-year term position with possible renewal in successive years.
Minimum Qualifications
BA/BS/AS/Technical or vocational degree in science-related field and one year of related experience in custodial and ecological land management or similar field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience with natural systems.
Experience in ecological land management principles.
Must be qualified or have equivalent experience as a Fire Fighter Type 2 (FFT2), including Introduction to ICS (I-100), Human Factors on the Fire line (L-180), Introduction to Wild Land Fire Behavior (S-190), Firefighting Training (S-130), and one training burn serving under the supervision of a qualified FFT2. Experience operating and or repairing various types of equipment and machinery.
Must have a valid driver's license.
