AFE Awards
Nominations for 2025 are due September 5.
Each year, the Association for Fire Ecology recognizes the accomplishments of exceptional individuals in the field of fire ecology and management. We have a variety of awards, which span career stages and can be personalized to recognize a specific area of expertise or contribution. Contributions may be in research, management, teaching, mentoring, Indigenous fire stewardship, traditional use of fire, applied science, extension, boundary spanning and partnerships, policy, or another area of focus or expertise. Awards are presented at our annual conference or through a special online presentation if we do not meet in-person in a given year.
Is there someone you’d like to recognize? Nominating a colleague is easy! Submissions require a brief application, nomination letter, and resume or CV if available. Nomination letters can be a combined effort with signatures from multiple colleagues and should be no longer than 2 pages.
