This training is geared towards professionals who are leading personnel on the fireline.  NWCG courses include L-280, S-230, S-231, and S-219.  Building competent and confident fireline leaders through this academy is our goal.  If your organization does not subscribe to NWCG training, staff are still welcome to participate and learn with us.

For NWCG compliant agencies, the student is or close to being qualified as a Squad Boss (FFT1). For non-NWCG organizations, the student should have at least 2 seasons in fire and are/will be leading fire staff in the field.

Course pre-work will include online work prior to attendance at the academy. All students will be required to meet the standards of NWCG FFT2 (or be working under an existing agreement with TNC at the state or federal level) prior to arrival at this training.
