Plumas Corp is seeking a Program Director (PD) to manage the programs of the Plumas County Fire Safe Council (PCFSC). The PD will work closely with the Boards of both Plumas Corporation and the PCFSC, Plumas Corp staff, private landowners seeking wildfire mitigation assistance, Firewise volunteers, UC Cooperative Extension, county representatives, US Forest Service, CAL FIRE, and other partners.
The Program Director works under the Executive Director (ED) of Plumas Corp. The position has responsibility to track and plan for the Plumas County Fire Safe Council’s fiscal health; to ensure that the PCFSC staff have resources and support to carry out their specific programs and projects; to ensure that grant deliverables are met, and to guide the organization according to the mission statement in order to carry out the 5-year strategic plan.

Fiscal Management:
Review and approve invoices for payment
Track expenditures to ensure adherence with project budgets
Request grant advances, as needed
Develop annual budget for all PCFSC projects and programs
Pursue grant opportunities, and revenue-generating activities to meet program needs
Grant Management:
Adhere to grant reporting requirements
Maintain project files and documentation
Request grant budget and/or scope modifications, as needed
Project Oversight:
Supervise staff in project responsibilities
Track progress and adjust timelines as needed
Develop and review contracts and amendments for ED signature
Oversee vendor contracts
Attend Public Meetings and/or Partner Meetings including:
Plumas County Fire Safe Council (produce monthly agenda and Board packet)
Plumas Corp Board meetings (provide PCFSC updates)
Plumas County Board of Supervisors meetings, as appropriate
Partner/stakeholder meetings (Feather River Stewardship Coalition, etc.)
Community meetings (present information about risk and programs)
Outreach and Education:
Coordinate and guide Plumas Corp’s Media Specialist to develop materials, including the Annual Report
Update the website and social media, prepare press releases, provide radio content, etc. ▪ Plan and attend PCFSC events including the annual Wildfire Preparedness Fair
Administration:
Return phone calls and email correspondence
Interview, hire and onboard new PCFSC staff as needed
Track and document metrics across all programs
Regularly interface with Board leadership to address Board needs
Maintain and update the Plumas Communities Wildfire Protection Plan
Professional:
Provide expertise and resources to local leadership
Draft comments regarding agency and partner projects
Advocate for the mission of the Plumas County Fire Safe Council
