Ecological Burn Coordinator, North Carolina State Parks Fire Program

The North Carolina State Parks Fire Program is currently hiring an Ecological Burn Coordinator to coordinate prescribed fires for the eastern half of North Carolina. The position is statewide in nature and will be pulled in to assist the Western Burn Coordinator when needed. Multiple office locations are available to the selected candidate.

This position is the ecological burn coordinator for the Natural Resources Program and responsible for coordinating the ecological burning program for the North Carolina State Parks System. This position will develop, and review management unit burn plans and burn prescriptions; assist and lead ecological burns; and monitor and recommend fire management strategies. The position collaborates with biologists and rangers in various regions throughout the division for training programs and multi-park, multi-disciplinary projects. Position will supervise a 4 person burn crew based out of Cliffs of the Neuse State Park.

Salary: $46,203 - $65,944
