The University of Nevada, Reno Extension, is recruiting for a full-time Administrative Faculty position to serve as the Living With Fire Program Manager. This position is located in Reno, NV, at the Washoe County Extension Office and reports to the Extension Natural Resources Specialist.

The Living With Fire (LWF) Program is a statewide interagency effort coordinated by the University of Nevada Cooperative Extension (UNCE) that teaches Nevadans to live more safely in wildfire-prone areas. These positions carry out UNCE’s outreach mission regarding community wildfire threat reduction.

The Manager of the LWF Program is responsible for managing the daily operations related to community outreach, including organizing in-person and online events, creating and delivering presentations, marketing and promoting events, communicating with community and program partners, and tracking grant expenditures and project deliverables. This position builds and maintains effective professional partnerships with community and government organizations throughout Nevada and Lake Tahoe Basin to accomplish the program's goals. The position supervises program support positions.

The Manager must efficiently and effectively plan and execute projects by balancing internal and external stakeholder interests. The incumbent must understand both the needs of the funding agency and those of the constituents being served and simultaneously manage the dynamics of their changing needs. The position is responsible for overall project management for multiple and/or complex projects, including supervising staff per guidelines and timelines established by funding agencies. The incumbent manages project resource allocation and provides budget oversight to meet the scope of work and project deliverables.
