Wildlife Biologist w/ expertise in prescribed fire (outreach)

The Cherokee National Forest will be filling one permanent, full-time Zone Supervisory Wildlife Biologist position on the Unaka and Watauga Ranger Districts, with duty station in Unicoi, TN. The position is responsible for providing expertise in the protection, management, and improvement of wildlife habitat within the framework of multiple-use management of forest resources. This position offers a challenging opportunity for an individual to participate in the planning and management of wildlife habitat, including restoration efforts around short leaf pine, upland bogs, and sensitive species of migratory birds, in the context of vegetation management and prescribed fire.
