The USDA Forest Service, Rocky Mountain Research Station (RMRS), is seeking a Natural Resource Specialist to provide broad-level leadership to guide science application and integration into the interagency LANDFIRE program and help to ensure coordination and cooperation among national efforts around strategic fire management, risk assessment, and Risk Management Assistance occurring within RMRS and across the Forest Service.
This is a remote position, meaning the incumbent will work primarily from a designated site of their choosing (e.g., their home), not a Forest Service office. It is a full-time permanent position, and the selected candidate will be eligible for a full benefit package including health/life insurance, retirement benefits, vacation and sick leave. This position will be advertised under the STEM authority and will be open to the public.
