The Wildland Fire Science Initiative (WFSI) Data Portal supports collaborative data management for fire research in the Strategic Environmental Research and Development Program (SERDP) WFSI program. The portal is a central data repository that provides common dataset metadata, private dataset sharing before publication with DOI, recommended standard data-level metadata, and dataset versioning with change history. Publicly available datasets are cross-listed on Wildfire Commons and the National Data Platform. In this talk we will highlight the repository features and our approach to working with researchers in and out of the field to support the entire data lifecycle.
