Taking Control of Your Time: Prioritizing What Matters Most
Federal Wildland Fire Workforce Development Program, Wildland Fire Leadership Development Program
Wednesday, April 1, 2026 at 9a PT/12p ET or 1p PT/4p ET
Would you like to add tools to your toolbox that help you to sharpen your ability to manage and take control of your time?
Most of us don’t have a time problem—we have a prioritization problem. Between shifting priorities, constant demands, and the pace of the job, it’s easy to spend time reacting instead of accomplishing what you had hoped to get done.
The Federal Wildland Fire Workforce Development Program (FWDP) in collaboration with the Wildland Fire Leadership Development Program (WFLDP) is offering a learning experience (LX) “Taking Control of Your Time: Prioritizing What Matters Most!” on April 1, 2026.
This LX is offered via live interactive webinar at no cost to the wildand fire workforce. Students can participate at their regular workplace. It is designed specifically for the wildland fire workforce.
What will I learn in the LX?
You’ll walk away with practical tools you can use immediately to:
Align how you spend your time with what actually moves the mission forward
Cut through urgency to prioritize what matters most
Build a simple weekly planning routine that works in real-world operations
This isn’t theory—you’ll apply these tools during the session so you can use them the very next day.
If you’ve ever ended a day thinking, “I was busy—but did I move anything forward?”—this LX is for you.
When is the LX being offered?
To accommodate different time zones and work schedules, the interactive webinar session will be offered at two separate times:
Wednesday, April 1 from 1000-1130 MOUNTAIN Daylight Time OR
Wednesday, April 1 from 1400-1530 MOUNTAIN Daylight Time
