The Desert Research Institute, in partnership with the Climate Science Alliance, the Institute for Tribal Environmental Professionals and the Collaborative of Native Nations for Climate Transformation and Stewardship is hosting a virtual panel series titled "Extreme Heat Adaptation in Indigenous Communities". Overall, this series will examine the effects of extreme heat on Indigenous communities and explore innovative adaptation strategies at the household, community, and regional/policy levels. Each session will host a panel of Indigenous leaders, researchers, and climate experts as they share solutions and insight on extreme heat impacts and adaptation strategies.
